So a few months ago, Square Enix announced on an update that a ’salvage duping’ hack had been fixed and removed from the game. Until that point, I had no idea what the whole duping thing was, but I soon found out it was a way to get more than one drop of the same item for a monster. I remember reading BG forums when everyone started QQing about the hack being fixed:

So everyone laughed and QQ’d about the dupe being fixed, and no one thought anything else of it…until this last Thursday.

Turns out SE decided that they wanted to ban and suspend the players who had been found in use of this exploit. Now I’m pretty against cheating and bots of any sort in the game, but the way SE went about this was…pretty dumb. No one is really sure yet who got perma and who got temp, but many many good players from our linkshell have been hit. So far the list stands at Merona (our shellholder), Blackhatchy, Ichthyos, Komoko, Vilhem/Uchiha, Xerlic, Zeroblade (all leaders), Nicblue, Siveth and Jiyo. Bosco and Sleibhan might have gotten it too, but are so far unconfirmed due to being on break. Others from Titan but not in Karasu were Bagel, Map, Slimm, Valacar, and Edged. We won’t know for sure until tonight/Monday night who is temp and who is perma, but we believe Vilhem, Jiyo, and Nicblue are temporaries. Hopefully everyone will come back to us, but if not, they will be sorely missed. Merona and every leader has changed and shaped Karasu to be what it is today, and I have faith that even in the wake of these bannings, we will be able to keep our standards high and continue dominating Titan. Komoko has already started playing on Unholy, thanks to Wolfe for that, and she is pretty excited to regear and get back in the game! (Not like much regearing needs to be done…Unholy already has a ridill) I have confidence that we can persevere and rebuild.

So turns out it has been a while since I last posted…over a month to be exact! Mid December my RL finals for class were taking place, and then the holidays came around so I didn’t have much time to play. Thankfully, I’m back to being un-busy now! Is that even a word? haha
I’m really liking the new stronghold invasion stuff that Xerlic is now heading. I don’t think I really want any of the drops, but the fights are fun and one of the mobs had a sparkly shell, I’ll have to take a pic and post it next time we do that BC. I’m trying to get back into Limbus since I need some more ABCs and some mats for whm, smn and brd. I have zero +1 AF or relic equips, and I’d like to get some of those.
Not much else to report on. Cheech is out of town until Saturday, snowboarding in Aspen without me qq. I’m at work, bored as hell, and have a rather large amount of homework to get done! Hopefully I can get it done before 6 so I can play for a couple hours before I go pick Cheech’s roommate up from the airport >.> He was on the trip with Cheech and the first day into snowboarding he hurt his shoulder pretty bad, and is now cutting his trip short and coming home tonight so he can go see a surgeon. That sucks so much! >.< Anyways, ’til next time!
